I'm having an issue where one of my VMs locks up when another VM utilizes a lot of CPU and disk resources. The VM will stop responding and PVE says the CPU is pinned at exactly 25% (presumably 1 core). Software is unresponsive and the cursor in the Console (in PVE) isn't flashing. I have to do a Reset through Proxmox to get it running again and then everything is fine. Occasionally I will get an I/O error in the guest and even a filesystem check on reboot. The other VM has the same specs as the VM that locks up and is utilizing about 70% CPU at the time. I don't often use a lot of resources like this on the VM, but its frustrating for the times that I do.

I've attached some of the Host and VM logs. Are there any other logs on the host or VM i should look at?

VM Specs
  • Ubuntu 22.04
  • 16 GB memory
  • 4 cores
  • NVidia GPU with passthrough enabled
Host Specs
  • Proxmox 8.3.2, kernel 6.8.12-5
  • i7-9700F CPU
  • 64 GB memory
  • 24TB ZFS file system on spinning drives
