VM Fails to Boot Automatically After Weekend Backup

Hi everyone,

I’m encountering an issue where, after every weekend backup, the VM fails to boot up automatically. The VM gets stuck during the startup process and does not come back up by itself. The only solution I’ve found so far is to forcefully stop the VM and then manually start it again, after which it boots up successfully.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? Any insights or suggestions on what might be causing this problem or how to prevent it from happening would be greatly appreciated.

The VM gets stuck during the startup process and does not come back up by itself.

What OS is running inside the VM? Can you identify at which point it gets stuck?

Please share the VM config obtained via qm config <VMID> --current, the storage config obtained via cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg and the output of pveversion -v
