Hi,
I have a problem with one vm on local thin-lvm storage.
The vm is suddenly read only. ECC RAM seems ok, hpe storage controller and /var/log/messages has no errors.
local-lvm has 60% free space left.

How can I make the vm disk writable again?

hi,

maybe you had some filesystem error and it was remounted as readonly.

can you show the output from mount from inside the VM?

Hi,
thanks for your help, you were right, the root partition was mounted read-only, fsck shows some file system errors.
fsck and reboot worked for now and the vm is online again.

How can this happen? Do you think it's a hardware problem, although it's still very new.
HPE P408i-a SR Gen10 is used as Raid Controller with HPE SSDs in Raid6.

which errors did fsck show you?

you can check if you have similar issues from the hypervisor side, you can use smartctl to diagnose problems with the disks and see if they all pass the health check or if there are any errors
