VM cores assignment and output by command in VM

I hv assigned 3 cores using one socket for my VM. But when I check using mpstat commad, which gives me processor related statistics ,it shows only two CPUs. Gives statistics of total two CPUs.

How is it so.. can anyone put lights on this.

Please provide the output of the mpstat command, the output of pveversion -v and the VM config (qm config <VMID>).
