Hey everyone,
I'm having some trouble setting up a VLAN for Proxmox VMs.
I've followed a few videos and read some guides, but it alludes me. Full disclosure, I'm pretty simple at this, and fairly new.
I'm running pfSense as a firewall, and then I have a Unifi Flex Light switch (the 5 port switch).
My main LAN runs as 10.27.27.xx, and I have an IoT VLAN 40 (10.27.40.xx).
I want my Proxmox server to reside on the main LAN, however, I would like to route various VMs (mostly Ubuntu) through VLANs (for example IoT).
I set my Flex switch to 'Allow All' for the Tagged VLAN Management option on the port my Proxmox is connected to, and I have tagged the VM with VLAN 40, and it does assign a IP on that subnet, however, there is no internet connection (I can ping other items on the VLAN 40 subnet).
