Virtual Network

Hello,

I'd like to create an isolated network within proxmox that has 2 or more VM's within it that can talk to each other as in transfer files and so on, but otherwise have no access to the wider network so can't access the internet or any machines outside of the isolated network.

Could someone possibly point me in the right direction to some documentation or something so I can figure out how to do this.

Thanks,

Just create a virtual bridge without a physical nic. Assign each of your vms to this bridge. Use any IP range not used anywhere else. (I use 192.0.2.0/24 = TESTNET = conflict free = not routed for this purpose.)

Best regards

Oh right, I assumed/hoped that it would be a little more complicated than that, I am new to Proxmox so still finding my feet only been using it 2 days so far. I was kinda hoping it would be something I could learn, but no worries I guess there will be something else I can learn at some point.

I did get an error saying that "192.168.2.1" was used as the default gateway on "vmbr0" except it's not this uses "192.168.1.1". So I just left it blank.

I haven't tested it yet doing that in a minute I just need to install a second VM.
