I have two nodes connected with vlan4000, and each of the nodes has a vmbr1 which has vlan4000 as a member, I also have a floating IP on vmbr1 that serves as a gateway for the vms on the vmbr1 network.
The issue I'm facing is that only the VMs on the host that has the floating IP work right away, the VMs on the other machines have trouble connecting and sometimes don't connect at all unless I run a ping form that VM to another machine on the same host
The pings between the host machine son the vmbr1 network work flawlessly so it looks like some arp table thing rather than a connectivity issue per se.
This is especially frustrating with any migration attempts as the migrated VMs loose network connectivity for a prolonged period of time.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

please post the configuration of your floating IP.

i think, too. U have to do more testing.

I think the solution u use is not production ready. It's better u find an other solution.
