hi,

i have some servers where i use lvm for the virtual disk.
as it is not possible to set up a lvm for the existing disk (pve ocupies 100% with its lvm) on installation i have inly "local" storage now. (old servers i did first install a ubuntu and afterwards the proxmox installlation)

its the same server as before with exactly the same virtual machine. only the write speed is about 1/3 of before. read is alo not good but not that bad.

i have 2 disks one ide and one virtio.

is local storage (with raw disk file) considered to be slower then using a lvm?
