vGPU (VT-d) Passthrough Alder Lake - Unable to add GPU to existing VM

I'm running Proxmox on a PC with Intel I5 12700K CPU and trying to use its graphical core in my Debian VM.
So I used this great guide
I fail to boot the VM with the GPU

Skimmed the guide you used and read, (quote copied):

Troubleshooting Intel Driver Installation​

The first time I did this on my N100 Proxmox server the Intel drivers had issues installing. For some reason the RDP session would freeze mid way through the install, or would get disconnected and then fail to connect. I had to reboot the VM from the Proxmox UI and then re-start the Intel installer using their “clean” option. After a couple of re-installs, it ran just fine. It ran flawlessly the first time on my i5-1240P server. If after a VM reboot RDP can’t connect after a few minutes, reboot the VM and try again.
On rare occasions if you reboot the Proxmox host and the Windows 11 VM gets a GPU device error, try rebooting the Proxmox host again and see if it clears. Re-installing the Intel drivers might help too.

So to me this looks flaky at the best, even for the author of the guide.

Secondly assuming you're using this https://github.com/strongtz/i915-sriov-dkms.git & you have the latest PVE kernel, then see this https://github.com/strongtz/i915-sriov-dkms/issues/151. There's also other posted issues there, showing similar behaviour.

You probably mean i7-12700K or i5-12600K.

I have tried the solution on the GitHub issue, logs look the same.
I'm a newbie on the Proxmox platform and I'm having difficulty understanding using the logs what exactly is the issue.

In plain English: The great guide you followed, isn't currently working for the current PVE kernel. (Also, as I already pointed out above - even the author of the guide had his "hit & miss" experiences with his own guide/method).

I don't personally do any GPU passthrough, so I can't give you any personal experience.

If I were you, search these forums that contain a wealth of info., & I'm pretty sure you'll find a setup that will work for you.
