Various issues relating to kernel and dkms

A while back something happened to my proxmox and it wouldn't boot, not sure why. In the end I "fixed" it by using an older kernel. This is the only way it would boot.

I'm now having issues with installing and updating things and getting errors such as

"dkms: autoinstall for kernel: 6.5.13-6-pve failed!"

"E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)"

I could be wrong as im pretty new to all of this, but i feel like these things are related.

I'm not sure what would be needed to troubleshoot this so if someone can suggest things i can upload logs or whatever. I tried uploading the make.log file but its 306 lines and i cant figure out how to copy it all

Looks like your driver source code is not compatible with the kernel version. Either get a newer version (from where ever you got this driver from) or maybe you don't need this out-of-kernel driver anymore with the new kernel? Maybe search the forum for i915-sriov to find other threads with the same issue and possible solutions.

Thanks, searching for this and getting to the first result actually fixed it it seems. I wouldn't have even known that was the problem.
