I just tried to load the V8 ISO onto a VM via QEMU/KVM and it does not pickup the bridge (bridge0) the only drop down in the installer is the master eth adaptor (enp1s0), If I load debian 12 ISO onto the same setup, it sees the bridge and gets the correct IP, is this by design it does not see a bridge?

I think it is just a labeling thing so this can be ignored, sorry, it says it is enp1s0 but the MAC address says it belongs to a vnet on the bridge

a vm will never see the bridge of the host, only a (virtual) network interface
imagine the bridge like a physical switch, and the vm has a virtual nic that is plugged into said switch

Yeh i was having what I found out later were hardware issues, this thread can be deleted
