Using IPv6 Link Local addresses for cluster?

Is it possible to create a Proxmox cluster using Link Local IPv6 addresses?

Assuming the nodes are connected to the same broadcast domain, shouldn't that be the best way to ensure IP renumbering is not an issue?
Also, if doing this and joining nodes via IP address instead of hostname, does this mean nodes' hostnames can be changed afterwards if the need arises?
