Hi, guys, I put an external hd to be the datastore of my pbs. What would it be like if my pbs dies and I need to take this external hard drive and mount it on another PBS? Any difficulties? Thank you.

When you reconfigure the new PBS as the original then it should be ok. If you have already a second PBS running, then you could also use a sync job for the datastore. Since often the disk dies first. ;)

Consider the following hypothesis: My pbs server died, I only have the external HD that I used as a datastore. How would I use this external hd in other pbs, which I just raised? Thank you.

Well, doesn't that answer it? And try your disaster recovery plan in a VM. That allows to simulate those conditions very easily.
