Hi All, my friend has an idea to use a Netapp C250 as the common storage to build a HCI solutions with 3 nodes. Will his idea occupy 3 times of storage space in the SAN storage? And is it possible to use external storage as the Ceph to build the HCI solutions?

Yes, you can do that, but why the hell would you want to use a shared storage as a backend for a shared storage solution? It wastes a lot of space (3x) and is much slower than a setup with local disks.
