Hello,

This is my first post to Proxmox forum and I just have to say Proxmox is great!

I am trying to use usb smart card reader inside virtual machine (Win7 Pro 32bit) but I can't seem to make it work.

# pveversion -v
pve-manager: 2.2-31 (pve-manager/2.2/e94e95e9)
running kernel: 2.6.32-16-pve
proxmox-ve-2.6.32: 2.2-82
pve-kernel-2.6.32-16-pve: 2.6.32-82

# lsusb
Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 006 Device 002: ID 076b:3021 OmniKey AG CardMan 3121
Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

# cat /etc/pve/qemu-server/113.conf | grep usb
usb1: host=076b:3021

Windows recognize smart card reader as OMNIKEY 3x21, but the Nexus Personal application does not communicate with the card reader and so it is not working.

Is there anyone who has successfully used usb smart card reader inside Windows 7 guest?
Is it suppose to work or not?

Can somebody help me with this?

Thank you in advance,

Antencek
