USB drive for backups and Nextcloud?

I’m using a usb drive for backups but also want to use it as my storage for Nextcloud (LXC). The drive is now mounted to /mnt/backups but I also want to mount it to /mnt/storage. Is this possible to mount two directories to one external usb drive? Or is there a better solution to accomplish this.

Repartition the hard drive with e.g. gparted from a rescue environment and mount the 2nd partition to /mnt/storage , then you have separate backups
