hi,
I'm sharing a Quad rs232-HS usb composite device, to 2 windows2012r2 VMs
device is only usable on only one VM
is there a way to let it be used by both VMs simultaneously?
or is there a way to share the device by device interface so to map if 0 and if 1 to VM1 and if 2, if 3 to VM2 ?
now mapping is made with "usb0: host=3-8" on both VMs
Code:
lsusb -t
/: Bus 04.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/6p, 5000M
/: Bus 03.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=xhci_hcd/15p, 480M
    |__ Port 8: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=ftdi_sio, 480M
    |__ Port 8: Dev 2, If 1, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=ftdi_sio, 480M
    |__ Port 8: Dev 2, If 2, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=ftdi_sio, 480M
    |__ Port 8: Dev 2, If 3, Class=Vendor Specific Class, Driver=ftdi_sio, 480M
    |__ Port 12: Dev 3, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/6p, 480M
/: Bus 02.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ehci-pci/2p, 480M
    |__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/8p, 480M
/: Bus 01.Port 1: Dev 1, Class=root_hub, Driver=ehci-pci/2p, 480M
    |__ Port 1: Dev 2, If 0, Class=Hub, Driver=hub/6p, 480M
