USB Boot drive failure | Restore VMS on new install

I had my Proxmox server boot of a USB stick. Today I found out that the WebUI stopped working, tried to restart the service - no luck. Tried to reboot and system died on me, IO errors all over the place. My configuration was:
boot drive: USB Stick A 64 GB (now visible as pve--old)
drive 2: USB Stick A 64 GB (boot for TRUENAS vm)
drive 3: SSD Goodram 240GB (boot for multiple containers + ubuntu VM)
drive 4, 5, 6: 3x TOSHIBA P300 2TB (ZFS Z1 pool for TRUENAS - encrypted)
drive 7: Toshiba P300 2TB (boot for multiple containers + mineos VM)

+ now added drive 8: plextor m.2 ssd for fresh install

VMs:
truenas
mineos
ubuntu

+ some lxc containers

I reinstalled Proxmox VE onto new 256 GB SSD (plextor one) and want to try retrieving my config from the working state - how do I do that?
