Hi,
hust installed the latest updates of proxmox and restarted the system; launcing 1 VM, and only tihis one (the others starts normally) i receive the message:

kvm: -smbios type=1, : warning: short-form boolean option ' ' deprecated
Please use =on instead
kvm: -smbios type=1, : Invalid parameter ' '
TASK ERROR: start failed: QEMU exited with code 1

i have searched and tried: "echo 1 > /sys/module/kvm/parameters/ignore_msrs" but no effect.

i found this:

https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/p...g-anymore-because-of-kvm-wrong-syntax.157814/

but i don't know where and how to make this modification-

how to solve? Thank you

post your VM .conf
Please, insert into CODE tags.
Hi Gabriel,
i found the .conf file and opening it i have seen the line mentioned in the post above.
I have added 'on' after the smbios1: and now the VM starts normally.

So for the others VMs i have opened the .conf file and the line is not present and they starts as expected. I suppose that the problem can be solved simply deleting the line. Is this possible?

I report that others VM have the smbios uuid set, not the one with this problem. Can this cause the problem? Can be this value set in some manner?

Thank you very very much.

Fabrizio
