Newbie here with Proxmox.
2.3 installed on a simple dual-core system. A single Windows XP guest is running.
I have connected an Eaton 5110 UPS to the proxmox box, over USB. This UPS works fine with Network UPS Tools (NUT). However a do have a number of questions here:
1) How does install it here? If it was a Debian box, I'd just apt-get it, modify the conf files and that should be it. Same procedure here?
2) On power failure and when battery power goes critical, NUT issues a user-configured command to shutdown the system. By default, that's "shutdown -h now". Is this still valid here, will doing a shutdown command take care of shutting down cleanly the winxp vm as well. I read somewhere that there were issues in shutting down xp guests in 1.X proxmox boxes, due to the lack of drivers similar to vmware tools. Does this still hold now with 2.3?
Sorry for the number of questions, like I said, I'm still trying to find my way here
