Hi All

When I upload ISO's to boot and install virtual machines, they stuff up with various errors, i.e ubuntu server cant read from the disk, ultimate boot CD cant find NTLDR.

I confirmed this corruption by copying the ISO files from the proxmox server, via samba, back to my laptop. Booted the iso in Virtual Box and got the same error I was receiving from the proxmox virtual guest.

More than happy to upload ISO's by SMB or NFS, but is this normal?

Cheers
Michael

Oh this is not very good.

I uploaded an ISO via SMB, and assigned it to the CDROM of my virtual guest.

CDROM dissapeared.

I checked the permissions on the ISO: I removed 'x' so it was just rw-r-r

I Created a new guest and tried again: same thing. CDROM device dissapeared

Edit: Resolved, no spaces in ISO file name.

Sorry to interupt... Back to the corruption issue...
