Hi
I have upgraded a couple of users running KVM and no Ctns from V3.4-11 to V4 by replacing Hard Drive with V3.4-11, installing V4.
Then restoring Backup.
I have a new user that has some older PM running.
Since I will be traveling to site I thought I would ask the question first.
Would I be able to use the same procedure With
V2.2-32
and
V1.9
Thank you.

I couldn't even upgrade a 3.X node to 4.X following the official guide in the Wiki - lots of interactive choices during the upgrade that the Wiki never mentioned and quite a lot of warning messages throughout. I managed to bork the upgrade badly enough, that I ended up doing a clean install of 4.X (all I needed really was storage.cfg and the *.conf VM config files from the 3.X install because I was using iSCSI for networked storage).

I have done good upgrades from 1.X -> 2.X -> 3.X (cluster using iSCSI) following the Wiki guides, but 4.X just flummoxed me. It's also poor that a 3.X cluster node can't join a 4.X cluster either - this meant a few mins of downtime (offline migration) per VM to get it from a 3.X cluster to a fresh 4.X cluster (and the iSCSI disk ID changes between 3.X and 4.X conf files too - arrrgh!).
