Hello people,

I'm running vers 3.2-1 without a subscription.

I would like to upgrade to the latest version: 6.1

Before I start my journey, I'd like to know if there's anything I should be aware of, like an upgrade path, upgrade scripts or such.

Any comment or recommendation would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks!

But honestly, instead of going for three and a half major distribution upgrade it could be worth to go the backup restore way, i.e., make backups of all VMs and CTs, install Proxmox VE 6.1 fresh from the ISO, then restore the backups.

Very interesting.

My setup is as follow: only the OS and PROXMOX is stored on my PROXMOX box.

An NFS share is mounted and all virtual machines are stored there (on a NAS, which is a separate box).

So the most efficient way would be to just install a fresh install of v6.1, mount the NFS share and import all VMs, right?

Can I expect to run in any problem when importing VMs created with v3.2-1, in v6.1 ?
