I get this when I try the apt update as part of the update from v3 to v4.

Code:
Err:4 https://download.proxmox.com/debian/pbs trixie InRelease
Certificate verification failed: The certificate is NOT trusted. The name in the certificate does not match the expected. Could not handshake: Error in the certificate verification. [IP: xx.xx.xx.xx 443]

My IP overwritten by me to preserve my sanity.

Actually that wasn't my IP!! (??)

Hi,

I assume you are using the pbs-no-subscription repository?
Please note that it is only available via HTTP, not HTTPS. See also the documentation for the exact entry you want: https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/installation.html#proxmox-backup-no-subscription-repository

(And for completeness: HTTP is enough in this case, as all packages are signed and signatures are validated anyway by apt after the download. Normally you also fetch Debian repositories via HTTP, for example.)

Great!

Please just mark the thread as SOLVED by editing your first post - there is a dropdown near the title field. This helps others find this thread more easily in the future :)

However, I am now getting continuous scrolling message on the console:
Code:
"audit: type=1100... res=failed"

The full message is too long to copy.

The percentage is on 81% and hasn't changed for about 1/2 hour.
