Hi
i have 4 servers with proxmox 5.2 .
If i upgrade to 5.4
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
Its posible without stoping virtual and backup VM?
Thanks

Hey!

As far as i know, regardless whether it's a Proxmox version update or not, whenever you update the kernel, the machine requires you to reboot. I assume it may be possible, but a reboot will be needed afterwards.

If you build a cluster with these 4 nodes, you can upgrade one by one and move the VMs off the node which you want to upgrade.
Normally this should work too with local Storage, but shared storage is a better solution for this.
