Hi.

I have to upgrade my existing installation of Proxmox VE 1.1 to the current 1.5 version.
Regarding to http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Downloads#Update_a_running_Proxmox_Virtual_Environment_1.x_to_1.5 it should be enough to upgrade /etc/apt/sources.list and do a dist-upgrade by apt.

Is it real or this is a dangerous operation?
What could you advise me to do this without risk any problem (considering that I will do the dump of all VMs before upgrading - of course - and the server is in a webfarm 350km distant from me)?

Thank you very much!
Bye.

That depends on your skill level - I can only recommend that if you are familiar with the packgae management tools on debian.

The suggestion is that you update when we release the updates - not one year later. I would ask a debian expert if he can do the update for you.
