Upgrade from pve8to9: "old machine version"

Hi guys,

I would like to upgrade my PVE v.8 to v.9.
pve8to9 --full returns 2 warnings:

WARN: VMs with the following IDs have an old machine version configured. The machine version might need to be updated to be able to start the VM in Proxmox VE 9:
100
WARN: VMs with the following IDs have live snapshots with an old machine version and it might not be possible to rollback to these snapshots in Proxmox VE 9:
100: before_zpool_clear_20230730

Could you please tell me what should I do to get a smooth upgrade?

I believe that the first warning can be explained in
https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-qm.html#qm_system_settings
- especially in the sections "Machine Version" up to "Update to a Newer Machine Version".

As for the second warning - you probably have a snapshot dated back to the year 2023, so probably of little value after more than 2 years and you can just remove it.

And, quoting the docs:
"Be sure to have a working backup first" .
