I am planning to build my first Proxmox server. I will be using this server as a single-node device, meaning I will manage and connect to my VMs from this machine. So, I will install a lightweight WM such as XFCE and a Chromium browser, where I will fire up the Proxmox GUI. I will connect to the VMs from the Proxmox either using its GUI or an RDP or VNC client.
One of the VMs I will create is a workstation where I perform most of my work, such as coding, browsing the internet, and watching videos. My question now is, how should I utilise my graphics card? Who will benefit the most from this graphics card: the XFCE/RDP or the workstation? Should I allocate the graphics card to my workstation and create a GPU passthrough? And if I am to create a passthrough, can XFCE still access the graphics card?
