Undelivered Mail for Administrator

My Proxmox gateway is setup to send me report and notification of rejected mail etc. I receive them but they come to my Administrator inbox as Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender.

For some reason the server first tries to send the reports to root@proxmox.MYDOMAIN.com

But the undeliverable notification does go to the correct address.

What part of the setup did I do wrong? OR what do I need to change.

hi,

you should provide the right email address on the web interface,

Configuration/System/Reports

System mails (root@..) are also forwarded to this address.

regards,
martin

I double checked and the e-mail address on the system/Report page is correct.

Here is a header from one of my reports:
I've replaced my domain name with XXXXXX.

thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom
I see your Mail Proxy settings are wrong.
Configuration - Mail Proxy - Ports

Please check out our Proxmox Mail Gatway Adminguide. In Section 5.3 Configuration you will find some usfull tips.

I just went to the Configureation screen and verified that my ports are set to 25. See picture:

Hi

Review external (default 25) and internal (default 26) SMTP port
Check these settings with your firewall and existing e-mail server.

PLEASE check out our Proxmox Mail Gateway Adminguide!

Regards, Michael Pilz
