Hi all,

I installed two Proxmox 4.4 nodes and configured corosync. The first node (pve1) has a LVM volume mounted under /var/lib/vz/backup that has option "Shared" enabled.
The shared directory shows up under the second node (pve2) in the web interface but "Content" is empty. Shown size on pve1 is correct, pve2 shows the size of its volume "local".
The wiki says something like "just click 'shared' and it will work"... is there a point i missed?

Code:
# vi /etc/pve/storage.cfg
[...]
dir: backup
        path /var/lib/vz/dump
        maxfiles 1
        content backup
        shared 1

Code:
proxmox-ve: 4.4-76 (running kernel: 4.4.35-1-pve)
pve-manager: 4.4-1 (running version: 4.4-1/eb2d6f1e)

That's normal. Local directories cannot be shared. If you want such a setup, please configure a NFS-Server and mount the share (preferably on both to have the same mountpoints available.

the "shared" flag does not share something, but it indicates to proxmox that the storage is already shared between the nodes
