Unable to install Proxmox 8.3 because it won't see my H330 RAID controller

I'm working with a Dell PowerEdge R240. I have been banging my head against this problem for a couple of days now. The PROXMOX 8.3 installer won't see my hard disks on the H330 RAID controller. The 7.4 installer does and installs fine. I joined it to a cluster with an 8.3 host server and when I tried to migrate a VM, I couldn't because 7.4 won't run the 8.3 VM. So I'm stuck with a situation where I need to upgrade 7.4 to 8.x, but I don't dare go to 8.3 since it'll clobber my RAID again. I don't see any older 8.x PROXMOX installers on the site, so I'm kinda stuck.

One thing I was able to do is install 8.3 on the internal SD card of the server (it's a 30GB card). When I boot to that, Proxmox runs and I can log in, but of course, I can't see my disks on the RAID controller.

I've seen people talking about downgrading the kernel, but I'm having trouble figuring that out. How might I get out of this conundrum?

Older versions of Proxmox ISOs have sometimes not been fully available. Maybe the 8.2 version of these will help you.
If you install a vanilla Debian 12.9 on your server - does it find that controller/disks without issue?
If that works - you could consider installing Proxmox on top of that - as shown here.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm going to try the 8.2 ISO first. If that doesn't work, then I'll try installing Debian 12.9 and upgrading it.

Well, I tried the 8.2 ISO, but it won't see the drives on my RAID controller. The Debian 12.9 installer DOES see the controller so I'm installing it now. I'll try to install PROXMOX on top of that next.
