You updated the package list known by your system with apt update, did you?

Best regards

Yes @UdoB, I did made all the update and upgrade. The core is new : 5.4.143-1-pve

If I use one of the VM, then testdisk can be installed. But then it doesn't access to the main disk, only the VM itself. I wonder if there is some protection for the Proxmox to avoid installing apps.

I sort it out. That was simple : I added in nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*
these links :
Code:
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ buster main
deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian/ buster main

deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security buster/updates main
deb-src http://security.debian.org/debian-security buster/updates main

# buster-updates, previously known as 'volatile'
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian/ buster-updates main
deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian/ buster-updates main
deb http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian buster main non-free

Then I could install testdisk
Thanks UdoB for your kind concern.
Best regards.

Then I could install testdisk
Great!
I would have expected a different kind of error message for missing dependencies than just 404.

Best regards
