unable to connect to the proxmox host

Hello

total newbi. i installed the iso on a dedicated computer connected via cat 5 to the router. followed the installation wizard and several youtubes.
also searched google and here and asked chat gpt.

no answer.

i cannot ssh to the host. nor surf to the web ui from within the home lan.
i can ping the host from my laptop. also can ssh into vm debian inside the proxmox.
could not find any obvious like fw or port issues ..

please help

What are the exact errors connecting via ssh or https?

Thank you for your reply.
The web & ssh just timed out.

But I had to move my desk for a moment and disconnected everything. Now after reconnecting it works .. magic.

Have no idea what happened. as I did reboot and checked cables .. and had ping to the vm host.

strange.

But this thread can be closed now as it is working fine.
