i had created a cluster consists of two nodes pve and pve1, and in the shell i can do the ping 8.8.8.8 but when i created vms and containers inside them i can't access to the internet and i can't ping 8.8.8.8 (but i can ping from the vm to pve and from the pve to vm )
what is the problem and how to fix it

So uuuhm, why are you settings both a DHCP and a static IP (without gateway) for Proxmox?

Also, have you tried setting a static, free, IP-address to your container/VM instead of DHCP and seeing if that did work?

They mentioned they can ping 8.8.8.8 from the host before, so I'm suspecting the gateway "remains" or comes from either of the DHCP's on the host.
Still an unsupported and unwanted setup though.

Also, while I personally not really care about the physical setup of the cluster, having a cluster with only 2 nodes (which I just now clocked onto) also is strongly recommended against (at least without a Q-Device which is not a VM on one of the systems)

I was referring to the VM(s) that are on the bridge without gw.

I mostly ask to understand if this is some setup at a provider or actually 2 servers routed out and how / through which NIC. The two-node part is a separate topic, it's not really related to not getting it routed now.

DHCP-Requests are send to 255.255.255.255 / broadcast though, so I would think that even with the wrong network settings on the host, the VM should still work, but to exclude that I wanted to check static.
I've thought I've also seen a few topics of people who've messed something up with the IP-settings on the host, but the VM's running over them still worked normally, because the VM does not "see" anything from the hosts's network-config.

Containers might be different though, haven't played around with those much.

Either way though, we'll have to wait for our OP to post about the results with static IP's and possibly a bit more info about their setup indeed.

when i created a linux birdge (vmbr1 to the port enp0s8) for new vm it works successfully and i can ping 8.8.8
.8 for the proxmox node and from the vm inside it.
Thank you all.
