Hi there! I'm trying to get everything work by this video
I have configured VDIClient, as well as user and VM configuration in proxmox.
So the problem I have can be seen on screenshot
1

I have no problem connecting to my proxmox, but after I choose the VM I want to connect, I tried 2 systems (Ubuntu 22 with disabled wayland, debian11lxde) - it's giving me an error "Unable to connect to graphic server" referring to cloudflare IP address.

Any ideas what could cause this issue, please?
Maybe someone has had this problem before, would appreciate the help
Any additional info - feel free to ask

Just an idea how access more direct to graphics (without considering details about your setup):
replace the following line in /etc/pve/qemu-server/<vm-id>.conf:
Code:
vga: qxl
by
Code:
args: -spice port=9999,disable-ticketing

Then you can connect to graphics by
Code:
remote-viewer spice://192.168.1.1:9999

Where 192.168.1.1 is the proxmox host and 9999 the used port - adapt these values according to your configuration.

Hi there! Thank you for your time, it was misconfiguration in config of the VDI itself

Hi, i am having the same problem that you were having, following the same video, could you please tell me how did you solve? Thanks in advice

Hi,
if you pointed your proxmox to a domain and changed your /etc/hosts file - change vdiclient.ini to point to your domain instead of the IP address.

Also there is another kind of this issue. "Error receiving data connection reset by peer"
After I whitelisted IP of the machine I was connecting to proxmox via VDI, I've only did "service pveproxy restart" on proxmox console. So after I logged in via VDI and tried to connect to any of the VM with Spice configured I got that issue.
Fix: full proxmox server reboot

Hi,
since the last update I have a kind of similar problem:
at the client's site we have 2 identical servers px1 and px2.
px1 hosts 2/3 of the VDs, px2 hosts the servers (win2k16 an Linux) and the remaining 1/3 of the VDs.
On px1 and px2 connection to the VDs works via spice, but connection to the servers, regardless of win or lx, dies with the mentioned error message "Could not connect...", although the .vv file gets downloaded correctly.
I even tried the direct connection mentioned by Richard, replacing vga: with args... but to no avail, the error message stays the same.
moved one test server (linux) from px2 to px1 and suddenly the spice connection works.
Any ideas?
TIA
W.
