I'm kind of new to this Proxmox and OpenVZ containers. I keep having trouble getting a Ubuntu container to connect to the internet. I currently have this setup:

Dedicated server with its own IP. I also have 4 other IP's that I can use. When I create the container using the Ubuntu 14.04 template, and choose IP address in the network settings, I put a usable IP in the space, and continue setting it up. Once I start the container and ssh in, I try to ping google.com but it just says unknown host.

How do I connect one of the static IP's to this VM if I've used the IP in the container setup? Again I'm new to this and would love to learn how to get it working. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
