[SOLVED] Two login shells when using Console

Hello,

I am using Proxmox VE. Proxmox is running in Stand Alone Mode. I have a variety of CentOS 7 containers running. When I try to use the "Console" button to login to the machine I am presented with two login prompts, which interfere with each other and prevent me from logging in.
I have tried all three methods of console. NoVNC, VNC, and Spice via remote-viewer. It does not happen when I use vzctl enter 1001 or when I SSH in.
This is happening on all of my CentOS 7 VMs. I was going to post configs but I am not sure which configs I need to post in order to figure this out.





When trying to debug this, I saw a few posts talking about the inittab file, but since CentOS 7 is using systemd the inittab is not used. Not sure where I should be looking.

I figured it out!

CentOS 7 creates a default getty which was causing the problems. I just stopped and disabled it and it seems to have stopped the issue.

systemctl stop getty\@tty1.service
systemctl disbale getty\@tty1.service
