TrueNas with H710 mini storage

Hello,

i need your help,

I have installed the proxmox on R720xd lsi 9207-4i4e IT mode rear backplane.
i have also connected the front backplane on h710 mini d1 it mode

I tried to install the truenas and it works fine untill i add the pcie card h710 mini, after that truenas cannot find the boot.

Did you try to disable boot support in the HBAs menu? Also check the VMs option where you can select the boot device order but I guess the HBAs disk won't be listed there. You can also look into the VMs BIOS if you can change the boot order there. With Q35 there is a boot order option in the virtual UEFI, don't remember if the virtual BIOS of i440fx got something similar.

And if nothing helps you could remove the bootloader from the HBAs firmware. then you won't be able to book of that HBA at all but atleast it shouldnt interfere with the VMs boot order (and booting would be faster, why some people prefer to not flash the bootloader at all).
