Hi
I've been trying to mount a CIFS/SMB share as storage from a TrueNAS server that is connected to Microsoft AD domain. Due to the domain connection, I have to use DOMAIN\username -format for the user and this creates a problem.
On TrueNAS auth.log I can see, that proxmox first uses the correct DOMAIN\username format for the initial connection but then escapes the \ -character on the username twice, resulting in "DOMAIN\\\\username". This causes the mount to fail. Have tried username@DOMAIN and "DOMAIN\username" formats for the mount, but have not had any success.
Has anyone been able to solve the problem?
Did the tests with 7.4-19 and 8.3.1, both have the same problem.
