Can someone explain to me the difference between the proxmox network devices When a virtual machine is created In the options are -VMware vmxnet3 -VirtIO (paravirtualized) -Intel E1000 -Realtek RTL8139 What are they used for?
 
Hi,

general the preferred network device is virtio.
the other three are for legacy and migration reason.
