Hi all,
I have been trying for the whole morning to convince Proxmox to download Templates from behind our firewall. Our proxy requires authentication before it will allow traffic. I tried all sorts of technical stuff, and the solution (which only just occured to me) was ridiculously easy.
So, in an effort to save someone else the same headache, I thought I would post the solution here. Note : Im pretty new to linux/debian and so, perhaps, my solution was bleedingly obvious to most of you.
Under System-Options put the following into the Proxy dialog box :
http://userassword@my.proxy.serverort/
As Proxmox is designed to be a turn-key system for those of us with less #nix experience, perhaps a little note somewhere in the install docs, or on the proxy screen may be appropriate.
