proxmox install is on debian wheezy and was updated yesterday based on package update notification for dbus 1.6.8-1+deb7u6, libdbus-13 1.6.8-1+deb7u6. install process required GRUB update as well.

after update physical machine starts but VMs do not start anymore, error message:

hello,

I have a solution for you: you have to select an older Kernel that is compatible with OpenVZ while booting. Restart your system and select a non 3.x kernel, smth like 2.x.x.

Then it should work again!

Hope i could help a little... see also http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/16351-Proxmox-getting-error-while-installing-Open-VZ-VM

Afox

PS: to prevent this in future you have to modify grub config or remove the kernel (see link above). If this is not possible for you repeat choosing the older kernel version while rebooting. smth like IPMI or direct access should help you with that.

You run the standard Debian kernel kernel: 3.2.0-4-amd64.

Instead, you need to run
pve-kernel-2.6.32-37-pve in order to use OpenVZ.
