tape backup: media pool allocation and retention policy

I would like to set a allocation policy of 2 weeks and a retention policy of 2 month - but that does not seem to be possible?

While it is possible to set a timespan like "2 month" for the retention policy, the allocation policy can only be set as "every ..." - a.e. every week. Why is this in the allocation policy different than in the retention policy? How is it possible to set "2 weeks" as allocation policy?

the allocation policy always triggers at a specific point in time, (like you already found out)

it would be confusing to allocate 'every 2 weeks' because where to start counting? e.g. the day the last backup started/ended? the exact time?

specific point in times on the other hand are not ambiguous and we can exactly tell when this should happen.
