Syslog flushed with SMTP requests - how to disable?

Hi all,

Looking in the syslog, I identified a lot of failed SMTP requests. Due to this, it even seems that my IP is now blocked by the email hoster gmx.
The email is the one used by installation of Proxmox PE 8.0.4. Email and IP has been masked by me (xxx).

I did not found any setting to disable the send of emails / notifications as I don't want to send any email / notification at all.

Any hint or help?

if you want to disable all notifications make sure that your default target and default matcher are disabled.
1. goto Datacenter -> Notifications
2. choose "mail-to-root" -> modify -> disable
3. choose "default-matcher" -> modify -> disable
and also please read our notification article for further information about notifications

I'm having the same issue. I have both the "mail-to-default" target and the default-matcher disabled, but it would appear that the node is still trying to connect to Gmail. My guess is that port 25 is blocked by my ISP, but I wouldn't expect prox to continue trying to connect with no mail target enabled.
