Hi — I am wondering if forum members can suggest/recommend solid NUC systems (in 2026) for running Proxmox.
I have an older Intel NUC (NUC8i5BEH) but, with Proxmox, it has been giving me a lot of problems (Ethernet controller etc. etc.).
I have read that the current ASUS NUC 14 PRO (Tall) seems to work well.
What I am looking for is Intel Core 5 (not 7) unit with, ideally, one M2. slot for an SSD for the OS and 1 (or two) SATA bays for 2.5" SSDs, memory up to 64GB (I plan to run with 32GB but it would be good to have one slot free to increase). Also for the SATA SSD(s) any recommended brand/model as I have also read that some brands of SSDs can be problematic.
The system would be running Promox and only Linux VMs.
Thanks in advance for any tips.
