We are looking to deploy proxmox in production with our hardware department building them out on a fairly regular basis.
The issue I can forsee is this.
1. Setup hardware
2. Install proxmox OS
3. Add subscription keys to each server
Now our hardware bench will be required to wait 30-60 minutes while this subscription activates in order to gain access to the enterprise repo's. Management isn't going to be happy to hear that the bench will have to wait this long of a period before moving forward. We can setup a complete cluster in just about 2 hours, so adding another 30-60 minutes just to active the subscription is a bit un-called for. Is there any way around this? Time is money!
I am open to suggestions but I think we are stuck with this time loss. I hate to be negative, but the design of the subscriptions is terrible. We are all for supporting proxmox as its a great product, but not in a way that it slows our production down. There are plenty of other ways this could have been implemented and it not effect the end users.
