Hello,

I just installed ProxmoxVE 6. I am booting from ZFS RAID 10.

After the kernel loads, it just sits there. When i hit enter I get an (initramfs) prompt.

I don't see any errors in dmesg.

This a the bootloader screen, this is my cmdline:

initrd=\EFI\proxmox\5.0.15-1-pve\initrd.img-5.0.15-1-pve root=ZFS=rpool/ROOT/pve-1 boot=zfs

Thanks for any help!

Can you try to do a "zpool import -R / rpool" from the initrd disk prompt. If any errors, post them, if no errors you should be able to use "CTRL + D" or "exit" to exit the prompt and continue with booting.

Yes i can! Thanks!

I also added rootdelay=15 to my command line and that worked.

Any idea how to make this fix permenant?

I believe i am using systemd-boot.

I'm guessing i have to mount the ESP and edit loader/loader.conf on both drives? or is there a PVE tool i should be using?

Still helpful! helped me figure out that I needed to hot connect a few reused drives and wipe them.. so I can boot without issue. Thank you

Thnx bro, i've wrotten the command and i've gotten this messeage "cannot import rpool : no such pool available".
thank u again

Thanks for posting your solution; from that I'd think that you do not use ZFS and thus the zpool import command could not work for your host.

You might also check the past system logs for any IO errors on disks, while a filesystem that can be repaired through fsck might be "just" cause due to a power loss or the like it can also be a symptom of failing hardware/disks.
