So when i am using my nas from nfs with a VM I get around 1.2gb/s with 1mb files on the same mount using CT i only get around 7mb/s with the same test. I notice IO delay is at around 20% on the server when doing the test with CT but 1% with the VM.

nas is 9 pcie 3 U.2 NVME, and another zfs of 6 optanes both are in raidz2.

performance is really good when testing from the debian on the host sytem as well around 900mb/s.

local nvme runs around 200mb/s from the lxc

I have to be doing something wrong.

Hello,
Have you tried to measure performance to a "privileged" Container ?
NFS needs such rights by the creation of the Container to work seamlessly.
I suggest you give it a try.

Kind regards,

GD

Yea same issue, its only write speed too. Read speed is totally normal.
I might try making an ISCSI mount and see if that performs any different.
