Hey All,

So i recently installed PM and migrated over a vmware vm and all is working perfectly. My question is i have a 3.7TB raid 5 array and when i installed PM it made a 96GB root partition and a 3TB data LVM partition. I chose to use normal file storage in /var/lib/vz for my VM's but only have 96GB to use unfortunately. I deleted the local-lvm storage in PM but how can i reclaim that 3TB back to the root partition so i have more than 96GB lol?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

As you mentioned and after thinking about it i also agree that its not a bad idea to leave the vm data segregated in the zvol block device. Probably better that way as its hidden and with the abundance of tools in proxmox to backup, move and migrate the data i think it will be fine using local-lvm. I was kinda worried at first not having direct access to the flat file vmdata but its all good. ;)
