Hey all,

We've got a proxmox cluster and I want some feedback on how to configure our storage for optimal performance.

Type 1: 6 nodes - 1 cpu - 64gb of ram - 10g networking - 64gb sata dom for proxmox
- 4 x 2.5" sata
or
- 2 x 3.5" sata
or
-2 x 2.5" sata
-1 x 3.5" sata

Type 2: 3 nodes - 2 cpus - 512gb of ram - 10g networking - 64gb sata dom for proxmox
6x 2.5" sata

Type 3: 8 nodes - 2 cpus - 1024gb of ram - 10g networking - 64gb sata dom for proxmox
6x 2.5" NVME

In our system we have the following:
26 x 2tb NVME drives
26 x 1.92tb Sata SSDs
6 x 12TB HDDs (24 spare drives not in use)

Right now we've got a mix of local raid10 and ceph. This way we can migrate a disk from the local raid10 onto ceph, migrate the VM to another host, then move the disks from ceph back onto local storage.

Thoughts?
